THE BIRTH OF THE IDEA

Based on a series of promptings, past events, experiences, illustrations and His Word, God impressed in my heart in year 2007 what I later discovered to be my life purpose: Encourage Missionaries!

The Lord was definite and clear with what He wanted, and I was supposed to make some moves immediately. It was as if God gave me a deadline!

Somehow, very soon after that, my local church, located deep down in southern part of Nigeria, organized a trip to a mission field in the other side of our big country! Even if I were to be the only volunteer, I had to go. And that’s how that road trip, with six other persons, to locations in Rijau area of Niger State lasting for five days, became the catalyst for a vision that Aaron & Hur Foundation now represents!

As at the end of year 2024, we are reaching out to over 180 field missionaries in eight countries in Africa and Asia having made over 20 trips to different fields.

Just like Aaron and Hur supported Moses' hands to ensure that Joshua and his men succeeded on the battlefield (Exodus 17), so we are called to support the missionaries knowing that: “…… But as his part is who goes down to the battle, so shall his part be who stays by the supplies; they shall share alike.”

What we do

We pray.

Every two weeks, we meet on-line to pray for missionaries and their work. We encourage you to pray on your own for them too. See some guides on our prayer page.

We visit.

Based on the awkwardness of their physical locations, a visit is so precious to them. For the fields we have visited over the years, we could see the visits inject a major dose of encouragement to motivate the work.

We support their upkeep.

Upkeep sometimes become a critical need for a missionary family. We do send financial support for basic needs such as food etc

We support their logistics.

Moving people and items around within their fields to accomplish their aim become a herculean task sometimes, not just because of topography, but simply because of lack of funds. We support procurement and maintenance of motor bikes and other means of easing their logistics needs.

We support their children education.

There are a number of children of different missionaries in different fields who are on scholarship by us or maintained by us on behalf of partners like you. Join us to sustain this and reach more of such children.

We care for their health.

Access to good medical care is mostly unavailable and sometimes unaffordable in locations these ones find themselves. Depending on what is needed, we sometimes procure and send medications to them and pay up their medical bills etc. Our medical volunteers do join us on visit to physically examine them too.

We support their income-generating ventures.

Some missionaries are partially engaged in different entrepreneurship activities to support themselves. Our aim is to help them improve their processes, product packaging and link them to bigger markets. We hope to help them generate sustainable income for their basic needs while they continue to further the gospel in their fields.

We support mission projects.

We raise funds to execute developmental projects in communities that impacts on their mission. We do projects in areas such as water, education, agriculture, logistics and infrastructural development.
